[Our puppy] is

doing great! She

has been pheasant

hunting 7

weekends this

season.  She loves to

hunt and has done

a wonderful job for

a puppy...I would

take her grouse

hunting and she

pointed and

flushed birds on

multiple

occasions...she gets

complients on her

stunning stature

all the time.

retrievers

Here at Hunter Haven we raise and

train top notch bird dogs. We have

developed some top pointing

Labrador blood lines. Our dogs are

medium sized, very athletic and

have excellent temperaments. They

will work hard all day and be ready

to go hard the next day.

 Our Pointing Labs are outstanding

for upland bird or water fowl

hunting. We feel that the pointing

instinct in the Field Trial bloodlines

comes from dogs who are the best

marking dogs, and are very intent

on line when watching birds go

down.

In our experience, our Labs that

point are just like any other Lab.

Ours come from the same strong

field trial lines, are very strong

water dogs, have lots of drive, love

to work, are natural retrievers and

have the same looks, as Labs that

don't point. Our line of Labs are

excellent house dogs and

companions, and are great around

children and other pets.

Bryce and Jynx with her awards

This is what Bryce has to say about Jynx.  "Bill found Alcorn's Hunter Haven on the web.  He purchased a yellow female. I went with him to pick her up and I happened to find a pup I liked, a black female.  She was showing no fear. As she grew up, she kept showing the desire and drive I wanted. She also had a good nose and what a nose! She has never taken her nose off the ground. I ran her in UKC/HRC Hunt Tests during the summers.  She earned her Hunting Retriever Title in 2006."

Bryce goes on to say, "These dogs absolutely love upland hunting and will run all day long and hold their own against a pointer.  We love the pups that come out of this kennel. In the summer of 2006 I purchased a chocolate male pup from Hunter Haven.  He has just as much enthusiam as the ones Bill and I had previously bought."
